Thanksgiving 2015 – More ducks and Seagull QE Park

On Thanksgiving weekend 2015, I’ve returned to the Queen Elizabeth park where the pond is to take more photos of the mallard ducks and seagulls.  This time, they are taken with the Canon L lens, which yields excellent sharpness and photo quality.

Alumni Night at UBC’s Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre

The University hosted an alumni night at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre on October 3 2015.  Fellow students and graduates had the opportunity to explore the architecture and features of the new building.  Centrally located on campus, it has several classrooms and meeting rooms and a large ballroom for any types of functions.

Doors Open Vancouver 2015 – Animal Shelter and National Works Yard

Supermoon Lunar Eclipse in Vancouver 2015

Lots of cars lined up to go up Queen Elizabeth Park in an effort to take a view of the red coloured moon at around 7:45pm on September 27, 2015.  The moon passes through the earth’s shadow, giving the red coloured look of the moon.  The next lunar eclipse event is 2033.

TaiwanFest 2015

Downtown Vancouver hosted TaiwanFest this summer 2015.  The goal is to raise awareness and introduce the multiculture aspect of Taiwan to the community.  It was held on Granville Street and features plastic sheeps on display, businesses booths promoting Taiwan related, and a food court to allow people to taste Taiwanese food.

Queen Elizabeth Park 75th Anniversary

Queen Elizabeth Park recently celebrated it’s 75th anniversary this past weekend, and held a outdoor party with people trying out the zip lines, exploring the conservatory and fountains and gardens.

The Customer’s Cat

This past week,  a cat greeted me upon arrival to my customer’s location for Real Estate Photography photo shoot.  Very people friendly and fluffy animal.  It is nice to have a cooperative animal to give me calmness while I do photo work.
