George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary – May 2015

The George Reifel Sanctuary is located in Ladner, BC, a 40 mins drive from Vancouver.  It is a protected wildlife area open to the public, that is home to a large variety of species of birds, and is a great stop over for birds transitioning between North and South during Spring and Fall seasons.  

Birds of Terra Nova Regional Park, Richmond BC – Spring 2015

I went to Terra Nova Regional Park in early May 2015 to find some variety species of birds.  Some birds I found are raven, yellow finches, red hummingbird, sparrows, and chickadee. Also new recently for Terra Nova Regional Park also has a new playground for kids to enjoy during the summer time.  

Burnaby Lake Regional Park – April 2015

Burnaby Lake regional park is located in Burnaby, BC, and is a home for more than 70 species of birds and a migratory habitat year round for birds.  There are more than 400 varieties of plants, fishes, birds, and mammal species residing in this lake.

Scary artwork at Langara Station

This artwork at Langara Station of a big replica surveillance camera cracking out of a wall with a big red light on it is downright scary and creepy looking, and I hope Translink (the company that controls Transit system in Vancouver) will take it down.

Birds of Boundary Bay – Eagles, Hawks, etc
