Cycling to Richmond using Canada Line Bridge

Cycling to Richmond using Canada Line Bridge

Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors without the claustrophobic feeling of inside a car, and that is a way to take in fresh air and explore the world and get good exercise at the same time.

It is possible to cycle from Vancouver to Richmond using dedicated bicycle lanes and residential routes.

A GoPro Hero 4 Session camera is mounted on top of a 3 axis gimbal stabilizer to record to entire journey.  Its other purpose is to serve as safety and security in case of wrongful doing by motorists.

Richmond can be accessed from Vancouver by using Ontario or Heather bicycle routes, and connecting at 63rd Avenue traffic light.  Beside the skytrain, there is a dedicated pathway for cyclist use.  Then cross the intersection and there is a dedicated bike lane on the east side of Cambie St.  This links directly to the Canada Line bridge.

However, once to the Richmond side, the connection to the city centre and rest of Richmond in the immediate area is not quite good.  Hopefully this will be improved someday.
